Standard training
This one-day course reviews the functionalities of IVCAD modelling plug-in, applied to the modelling of a FET device.
Step by step, the modelling process is described from linear to non-linear modelling including thermal and trapping effects modelling, until the model implementation in commercial simulation
Advanced modeling training course
This five days course (in 2 sessions) reviews the modelling theory and modelling techniques used for GaAs or GaN-based FETs in microwave applications. The course includes "hands-on" extraction of models using IVCAD modelling plug-in, as well as model validation and adjustment in commercial simulators.
From pulsed IV/RF measurement to simulation in commercial software, each modelling step is covered, and key points of each step are emphasized.
The first three days session focuses on modelling theory and techniques, and on the standard model extraction process.
After one or two months (schedule to be defined in accordance with the customer), the second training session covers specific modelling issues and model adjustment in commercial simulators regarding targeting applications.
Customized modelling services
With its large expertise on GaAs and GaN FETs modelling AMCAD can provide complementary services in order to entirely answer customer needs.
For example, AMCAD can develop a non-linear model of a customer’s device, preliminary to the modelling training course, and provide the training based on this device model.
As each customer’s situation is unique, this part has to be defined in relation with the customer.
